THIS IS HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Rob & Jon set up the Butcher’s Table after meeting in 2018. Rob was playing professional rugby for Harlequins at the time, but coming to the end of his career due to injury. In thinking about what life after rugby might look like, he approached Jon who was working at a Butcher’s in Twickenham and asked for some work experience. Jon after starting his professional career in advertising now has over 10 years experience in the butchery trade having worked his way up the ladder he opened his own shop Meat Jon in Ladywell in 2019.
They immediately hit it off and found they had similar beliefs and values around meat, cooking and high welfare produce. Their relationship has continued to flourish and their dream of opening a butcher’s shop together has now come to fruition.
THE BUTCHER'S TABLE
At the Butcher’s Table we know that the centre of any home and all great occasions is the dinner table. It's where you make memories, share stories, reminisce and most importantly where we eat great food. Whether it’s a dinner party with friends or a Sunday roast with family; quality meat, good company great wine, its our idea of bliss.
So we set out to bring everything we love and value to you. We’ll bring to you high quality, high welfare meat, our favourite wines and beers and some delicious deli items. You can then serve these on your own table, and should you need it, we’ll offer our advice on how to get the most out of our produce.
We will also have great evenings around our butchers table, offering bespoke butchery classes and bbq courses. For those that love their food and want to expand on their meat knowledge or cook over fire, this is the space for you.
